LEARN PHOTOGRAPHY

Anyone can press a shutter. But a true photographer interprets existence—not with words, but with light, intuition, and pause.

Where others glance and forget, the photographer lingers—and feels. While the world rushes past, we stay still long enough to witness the unspoken poetry tucked within the folds of the ordinary. Great photographers aren’t chasing grandeur or spectacle. They are redefining the everyday, extracting the sublime from silence, revealing elegance where most see emptiness.

They do not just capture. They translate the invisible.

A cracked wall, a morning window, a passing stranger—through their lens, such moments are not preserved but reborn. Their vision becomes a bridge between what is seen and what is sensed, between the physical and the poetic.

And in this workshop, you will be called to begin that very transformation.

To stop looking—and start seeing. Yes, you will be equipped with the grammar of photography: f-stops, shutter speeds, light theory, lenses, and composition. But these are merely instruments. The real symphony begins when you learn to feel an image before you frame it. To recognize rhythm in stillness, tension in symmetry, a pulse in shadow. Because in the end, style isn’t taught. It’s uncovered. It’s the quiet echo of your inner world—made visible. This is not a course. It is a creative awakening, a visual meditation. You will not walk away with just photographs. You will walk away with a new lens on life itself—one that’s uniquely yours. And once you learn to see like this, the world will never go back to being ordinary.

ALAKH NIRANJAN

He is not merely a man behind the camera—he is a storyteller of silence, a composer of frames, and a curator of consciousness. With a creative journey spanning over two decades, Alakh has emerged as a celebrated force in the world of visual arts and soulful storytelling.

Having mentored over 3000 students across India, the United States, and Africa, his impact is global and deeply personal. From classrooms at Symbiosis Institute Ruia College, MIT and WLC College to training rooms in Mphasis, HSBC, and IBM, Alakh has brought his rare blend of technical brilliance and poetic depth to learners across all walks of life.

He doesn’t just teach photography—he awakens vision.

He doesn’t just share knowledge—he transfers experience.

His cinematic and photographic creations have received heartfelt appreciation from legends like Irrfan Khan, Prahlad Kakkar, Kunal Ganjawala, and Shaan—a testament to the emotional truth and artistic purity embedded in his work.

Alakh is a seeker at heart. Every image he captures, every story he tells, and every student he mentors is part of his larger offering—to inspire others to see not just what is, but what could be.

DAY ONE

“Before you compose a frame, compose yourself.”

Today, we step into the sacred space where art meets science — where the camera becomes not just a device, but an extension of your perception, your instinct, your soul.

This opening session is the grounding ritual — laying down the grammar that governs every visual poem you’ll ever write with light. Whether you're just starting out or already walking the path, this day is your foundation — a return to essence.

You will learn how light breathes and bends through Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO. You will understand how your camera thinks — through metering modes, focus systems, and white balance choices. You will grasp why shooting in RAW gives you the power of a digital negative — and how lenses change not just the image, but the story.

Technical Focus:

Manual Modes · Aperture · Shutter Speeds · Controlling Exposure · ISO · White Balance · Metering Modes · Focus Options · RAW vs JPEG · File Types · Magic of Lenses · Depth of Field

Takeaway:

From confusion to clarity. From automatic to artistic.

This is the grammar of vision. Learn it not just with your mind, but with your breath.

DAY TWO

“Every leaf is a letter. Every sunrise, a stanza. Nature doesn’t pose—it whispers.” Today, we step out… not just into the forest or fields, but into the cathedral of creation itself. The outdoors becomes your first true collaborator—an ancient artist who paints with wind, light, and silence.

This session is about listening deeply. About waiting, watching, and honoring the sacred stillness of life that surrounds us. You’ll learn how to photograph not just what’s there, but what’s felt. How to capture the hush before a breeze. The poetry in a patch of bark. The quiet gaze of a bird. The memory of footsteps left in morning dew.

As the golden hour caresses the earth, you’ll discover how natural light can be your most expressive brush. You’ll compose like a storyteller—finding symmetry, tension, and release in the frame. You’ll shoot textures that you can almost touch, and learn to contrast movement with stillness.

This is not just a class. It’s a communion.

Technical Focus:

Rules of Composition · Golden Hour Techniques · Working with Natural Light · Landscape and Telephoto Lenses · ISO for Outdoor Conditions · Exposure Compensation · Depth and Scale in Landscapes

Hands-On:

Guided Framing in Nature · Texture-Hunting · Contrast Captures · Tree & Sky Studies · Storytelling with Stillness

DAY THREE

“A good portrait captures the face. A great one reveals the silence between thoughts.” Today, the lens turns toward humanity—the most intricate landscape of all. A face is not just skin and symmetry. It is a lifetime of dreams, doubts, scars, and sparks. Our session dives into the sacred art of portraiture—not as photography, but as communion.

You will learn how to hold space for someone to unfold in front of your camera. How to see beyond smiles and poses—to the quiet truths in the eyes, the poetry in posture. You’ll explore how connection precedes composition, and how a click can sometimes feel like a confession.

We will work with natural light as if it were a soft whisper, sculpting features with shadow and shine. You'll experiment with aperture to create that creamy bokeh which places the soul in sharp relief. You’ll master the use of focal lengths to flatter, not distort—to honor, not intrude.

Technical Focus:

Portrait Lighting · Working with Window/Natural Light · Bokeh with Wide Aperture · Choosing the Right Focal Length · Subject Positioning · Emotional Framing · Background Simplification

Hands-On:

One-on-One Natural Light Portraits · Candid Capture Techniques · Emotional Expression through Posing · Eye Contact vs Gaze Away · Telling a Story with One Frame.

DAY FOUR

This session is a tribute to precision, where every fold of fabric, glint of metal, and crumb of bread becomes a character in a visual narrative.

Product photography is not about taking pictures of things—it’s about elevating objects into experiences. About seducing the senses through light, texture, and geometry. About making someone feel something before they even touch.

You’ll learn how to craft compositions that breathe luxury, authenticity, or warmth—depending on the brand’s soul. How to work within constraints—using simple setups, DIY lightboxes, and natural light tricks to mimic studio brilliance.

From shooting elegant jewelry and mindful stationery to artisanal food and handcrafted objects—this is commerce alchemized into visual storytelling.

Technical Focus:

Macro Photography Essentials · DIY Lightboxes & Reflectors · Composition with a Commercial Eye · Using Textures & Backdrops · Shadows & Highlights · Color Harmony · Creating Depth in Flat Lays

Hands-On:

Minimalist Product Shoots · Styling and Shooting Flat Lays · Layering Textures · Capturing Shine without Glare · Framing for Social Media vs Catalog vs Print

DAY FIVE

As the sun bows out, and the chaos of the day dissolves, a new world awakens—subtle, slow, surreal. This is the realm where shadows stretch like stories and every shimmer becomes sacred. On this night, your camera becomes more than a tool—it becomes an oracle of the invisible.

This session is about surrendering to the rhythm of the dark. You’ll learn how to tame time—through long exposure—and how to turn fleeting light into permanent poetry. Discover how to make highways breathe fire, how stars can sketch silence across your frame, and how reflections whisper their secrets on still waters.

You’ll master the art of tripod stillness, of focusing when the eye can’t see, and of balancing ISO to preserve mood without noise. This is not just about photographing the night. It’s about becoming it.

Technical Focus:

Long Exposure Techniques · Mastering ISO in Low Light · Tripod Setup & Stability · Focusing in the Dark · White Balance at Night · Using Ambient Light Creatively · Light Painting Basics

Hands-On:

Capturing Light Trails · Silhouette Experiments · Reflections & Ambient Glow · Urban Nightscape Exercises · Framing Stillness in Motion

DAY SIX

“You carry the lens. But the story… the story carries you.”

On this final day, we leave behind walls and whiteboards. We step into the vast, breathing canvas of the world. It’s not just a field trip—it’s a pilgrimage. To nature, to moments unplanned, to the raw beauty of everyday life.

From the rustic charm of a village morning to the layered poetry of Pune’s streets… from mirror-like reflections in quiet water bodies to silhouettes dancing through forest light—you’ll capture not just visuals, but vibrations. You’ll learn to find rhythm in randomness, composition in chaos, soul in silence.

This is also the day of playful depth—where we weave in powerful visualization exercises that deepen your intuitive eye. You’ll learn to “see” before the camera does. To anticipate emotion. To wait for a story to bloom.

And above all, to enjoy photography as a dance, not a duty.

Experiential Focus:

Candid Street & Village Photography · Nature & Water Reflections · Human Moments · Forest Light & Shadows · Visual Meditation Exercises · Seeing Beyond the Frame

Hands-On:

Real-world Shooting in Diverse Terrains · Practicing Spontaneity & Stillness · Capturing Layers of Life · Visual Storytelling on the Go · Personal Mentoring in the Field.
